All Day Kindergarten 

November is always a busy month in Kindergarten as we begin gearing up for the coming holiday season.

We are working on a unit about Native Americans and the Pilgrims.  The children have constructed a pilgrim house and are enjoying wearing the costumes, singing Thanksgiving songs and doing some Native American dancing.  We are also talking about all the things that we have to be thankful for.   Our wonderful food service will be making a tradional Thanksgiving meal next Wednesday.

In November we work on the sounds of Ii, Tt, and Mm.  We are learning to tell time to the hour and are doing some simple addition stories and sentences.  Many of the children have already made the jump to sounding out words to reading.

As soon as we return from Thanksgiving break we will begin working on our Christmas Pageant that we will present on Sunday, December  9th at 1:30 and 3:00 in the sanctuary.
