In the event of severe weather (snow, ice, etc.), SPCS will post the school’s closing schedule on radio station WIBC (93.1 FM) and television station WISH (CBS – 8), providing that ample time allows.

If SPCS is closed, both the A.M. and the P.M. Half-Day Kindergarten and Preschool class sessions are also cancelled.

If SPCS posts a two-hour delay, No A.M. Kindergarten/Preschool…the A.M. Half-Day Kindergarten and A.M. Preschool classes are cancelled and the P.M. Half-Day Kindergarten and P.M. Preschool classes will meet during normal hours.

If SPCS posts a two-hour delay, Alternate Kindergarten/Preschool (will appear on the television screen as ALT KG/PS Plan…the P.M. Kindergarten and P.M. Preschool classes are cancelled and the A.M. Kindergarten and A.M. 2’s, 2D3’s, 3D3’s, 4”s, and Pre-K classes will meet during the regular scheduled afternoon session in place of the P.M. classes as follows:

Half-Day Kindergarten and Pre-K classes - 12:15 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.
4’s classes - 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
3’s classes - 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
2D3’s classes - 12:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
2’s classes - 12:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

We hope that this adjustment to the daily schedule during inclement weather will not inconvenience our SPCS Preschool and Half-Day Kindergaraten families, but rather allow equal class opportunities for both the A.M. and P.M. classes.
