Course Description

These courses will introduce students to the historical drama of the New Testament and Old Testament, its main actors, the beauty and intrigue of the storyline, and the questions and problems that arise and are dealt with along the way. Students will become familiar with the overall narrative, as well as its many parts, and will think on their own and as a group about the Old Testament message and what it means for them and for the world today.

Course Objectives

For students to gain a basic knowledge of the Old Testament and New Testament stories so that they are confident that they are able to read it with understanding on their own or in a group setting, and so that the Old Testament becomes a helpful resource to them in their relationship with God and in their decision making throughout their lives.
