WHAT A FANTASTIC EASTER "SONRISE" PROGRAM!!
THANK YOU 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders for your incredible performance singing, sigining, playing instruments, displaying your art and narrating the Easter Program!
The 3rd grade recorder class was first on the program. They played the prelude. From the French folk song, Au Claire DE la Lune and Morning Song by Greig to the spiritual, When the Saints Go Marching In and Ode to Joy By Beethoven. The recorder class did an outstanding job!
Thank you to Mrs. Gould, the art teacher, who helped each and every student to prepare their art pictures for use in the Easter program. The 1st grade held their pictures of crosses for the song, " He Is The Way."he 2nd graders displayed their pictures of crowns with the song, "He Is The King of Kings." The 3rd graders' pictures of children doing acts of kindness displayed them for the song, "Walk as Children of Light." Some of the students from different classes accompanied some of the songs with shakers, boomwhackers, kazoos, , tambourines and bells. What an incredible job the students did on their art pictures and playing their instruments!
Some students from each of the classes who had speaking parts did a remarkable job of telling the story of the first Easter ( Jesus' death, burial and resurrection). In our program, EASTER SONRISE we were "Talk'in About Jesus." We started with Jesus the Creator in "Great Big Beautiful World" to the "Miracles of Jesus." All the students did a fantastic job of singing and signing about Jesus our Mediator "In Christ the Cross." Celebrating what Christ did for us we sang "Ho, Ho, Ho, Hosanna" and "I"ve Got the Joy Down in my Heart."
Also thank you to Anthony Matthews and Tyler Carrie form the 8th grade classs and Mr. Tim Carrie for running the sound for the practices and the program.
Again what a terrific performance 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders! I was so very proud of you ! Also, thank you parents for coming and supporting our students!

WOW! WHAT CHRISTMAS SPIRIT!(SPCS MUSIC SCHEDULE BELOW)
What a fantastic Christmas Concert! What an awesome performance Thursday night at the Choir and Band Christmas Concert! You sounded terrific playing your instruments and singing two and three part music and sharing the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of our Lord and Saviour, with Christmas carols and seasonal songs. What a terrific job the King's Kids (audition group of choir and band students) and how everyone loved "Snow Angel " and the three part harmony of "God Bless us Everyone."
You all worked hard and sang out and it was such a blessing ! I heard over and over again what an outstanding program and outstanding group of students! And how much fun it looked likel you were having. How it was second to none with the other local secular schools or Christian schools. What a top quality program, musically with the harmony and how the instruments added so very much to the performance. Also, a big round of applause to Noah Fishel soloing on the quitar and accompanying the Middle School Choir. What a great way to get into the Christmas Spirit!
Also, the 4th Grade and Middle School choirs and King's Kids went to St. Francis Hospital on Thursday, Dec. 15th @ Noon Hour. They sang, were provided their lunch and sang again! They were applauded, even told what a good " show" and were stopped by several different groups as they went out congratulating them on their singing, their instruments with the songs and what neat songs they sang! What an awesome performance Choirs and King's Kids! What a special way to get out the true meaning of Christmas to our community!
All the Choir students and King's Kids will have their Christmas parties the week of December 20 and 21. It will be our doughnut and Christmas cookie parties held during class times-my treat for all your hard work to such a great group of young ladies and gentlemen.!
Middle School to go Christmas Caroling @ Rosegate, Friday, Dec.16th!

HOW PATRIOTIC OF YOU!
The Band and Choir were priviledged to be a part of the Veterans' Day Program. The student body honored Veterans related to the student body, those who were able to be here and those who were not able to be here. The Scouts and the Color Quard began and ended the program with a Flag Ceremony. The student body president, Noah Fishel, opened with prayer. The bands played "The Star Splangled Banner," "Amazing Grace" and "Taps." The combined Choirs sang "America, the Beautiful" and "Battle Hymn of the Republic." The special speaker Mr. John Synder , a WW II veteran, was very interesting and informative. SFC Christopher Fenton (husband of third grade teacher Stephanie Fenton) led in the military roll call of the different branches of the military service. A few 8th graders shared some very approriate poems. The program closed with Olivia Ludlow 's outstanding job on the trumpet playing taps. What a fantastic program and all those who participated what a terrific job.
OUTSTANDING JOB CHOIRS @ THE VETERANS' DAY PROGRAM-I WAS SO VERY PROUD OF YOU. YOU WERE YOUNG LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. YOU SANG OUT AND WHAT A TERRIFIC JOB!
